$100 laptop

by jacqueline.fouche ()

The $100 laptop - also known as the XO-1, Children's machine or One Laptop Per Child – project aims to provide all children in the developing world with access to knowledge. One would hope that giving children a laptop will allow knowledge transfer to actually happen. The project received a lot of positive and negative comments. The negative comments usually relate to the fact that people would rather want third world aid to provide basics like food instead of a technological solution.

Musicovery
Interface inspiration

Quite simply one of the best navigation schemes around. In fairness they have the advantage that it is a music site, allowing them to organise music according to mood or dance.

The mood interface allows you to selects any point between Dark, Energetic, Positive and Calm. Users can also choose to select Dance music where it is organised according to fast and slow tempo and dance rhythm. Additionally each interface allows you to filter the music to genre.
